Psychiatrist - P/T Weekends

MindCare Solutions, is a leader in comprehensive mental health solutions in various settings: clinician owned and operated. We are seeking a Weekend Psychiatristto manage the operation and provides overall direction and leadership for the provision of the mental health services in the facility.

Compensation: up to $185 (based on experience and contract type)

Location:Burleson, TX (on-site)

Schedule: P/T -Saturday and Sunday (min of 6 hours a day)alternating weekends available

Responsibilities:

• The position is for a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services for an inpatient behavioral health unit.
• Focuses on delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented psychiatric care to adults with serious mental illness in a structured residential setting.
• The psychiatrist will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support stabilization, continuity of care, and long-term recovery.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed
• The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
• The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
• Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
• Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management
• Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.

Qualifications:

• Psychiatrist is required to have an active and unrestricted licensed in TX.
• 2 years of inpatient experience (trauma experience required)
• Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry  
• Valid and unrestricted DEA in TX.
