Job Title: Weekend Maintenance Machine Repair Technician

Wausau Tile is seeking a mechanically skilled, safety-conscious individual to join our Maintenance team. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment. Candidates with experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems are encouraged to apply. Journeyman or Apprentice-level skills are a plus. Wausau Tile supports continued training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical issues
• Perform disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly
• Support light fabrication and modifications
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance (PM)
• Document tasks and findings on work orders
• Implement safety and efficiency improvements
• Assist with shutdowns, rebuilds, and upgrades
• Communicate with team across shifts
• Support or lead assigned projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude with maintenance experience
• Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems
• Journeyman/Apprentice experience preferred
• Able to read manuals, diagrams, or schematics
• Commitment to safety, quality, and improvement
• Works well independently or with a team

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and reaching
• Repetitive use of hands, shoulders, and back
• Comfortable with stairs, ladders, and varying environmental conditions
