
Objective Conduct the admission presentation on campus to visiting families, respond to questions from parents, students and families. Represent all facets of undergraduate education and student life at Case Western Reserve University to prospective students, their parents and high school guidance counselors with friendliness, enthusiasm, patience and respect. All prospective students should be treated equally, without regard to race, religion, age, sex, color, disability, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin. CWRU alumnus preferred.
Responsibilities Lead information sessions on campus. Represent the university with strong knowledge of the university. Be able to read the audience quickly and while thinking on one’s feet, customize the presentation to their needs. Must have the ability to listen closely for the concerns of the student, and answer questions even when not articulated well by the parent/student/counselor.
Check-in families upon arrival. Ensure families go through the check-in process and either attend the information session or go out on a campus tour of the university.
Dress guidelines: Business professional. Presenters should look neat and dress tastefully.
Hours: Presenters should be able to commit 5-10 hours per weekend.
Training Training is weekdays ONLY. Meeting schedules will be set upon hiring. Presenters will be paid for training attendance. Training includes observing information sessions, attending the campus tour, one-on-one with the department trainer. Please allow time on your own to practice the presentation.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree is required preferably from CWRU. Presenters must be self-motivated, highly dependable, very responsible, and willing to continue to enhance thier knowledge of CWRU on their own by remaining active and following current campus news and events. This person is an ambassador for the university. A broad understanding of the undergraduate experience at CWRU is essential. Excellent communication skills are needed as well as a pleasant personality and ability to put others at ease. A smile, enthusiasm for CWRU, honesty, and a positive attitude are necessities. Presenters must have a sense of professionalism and tact. Previous experience working in an admission office is a plus. CWRU alumnus preferred.

Weekday training: May 11 through June 17 (typical timeframes are 8:30-10:30 AM or 1:30-3:30 PM).
Weekend Presentations start June 20.
Saturdays 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
Sundays 12:00 - 3:30 PM
You may work summer only, fall only, or summer and fall.
