We are seeking a
Technical Website Project Manager
to oversee the end-to-end delivery of high-performance websites. You will serve as the essential link between our clients and our production team (UI/UX designers and web developers).
The ideal candidate is "dangerously technical", you know your way around a DNS record, can troubleshoot a CSS layout issue, and understand the difference between headless and traditional CMS. While you aren’t the primary developer, you have the hands-on skills to build a landing page or configure a staging environment, ensuring that high-stakes projects stay on track and meet modern web standards.
What will you need to do:
?
Solution Architecting:
Translate client business goals into clear technical sitemaps, user flows, and functional requirements. Recommend the best tech stack (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or custom builds) based on project needs.
?
Project Orchestration:
Manage the full website lifecycle from discovery to launch using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Own the timeline, budget, and ensure all deliverables meet launch readiness standards.
?
Hands-on Support (Light):
Assist with basic HTML/CSS tweaks, content uploads, plugin configurations, and staging setup to keep projects moving efficiently before escalating to developers.
?
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the main point of contact for clients, translating technical concepts like caching, responsiveness, and SEO into clear, business-friendly language.
?
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with UI/UX designers and developers to ensure feasibility, resolve blockers, and manage scope changes effectively.
?
Performance & QA:
Lead quality assurance across browsers and devices, ensuring websites are optimized for speed, responsiveness, and bug-free performance before launch.
Technical Requirements & Toolstack:
?
Web Fundamentals:
Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript, with the ability to debug issues using browser developer tools.
?
CMS & E-commerce:
Experience with platforms like WordPress (Elementor/Gutenberg), Webflow, Shopify, or headless CMS (Contentful, Strapi).
?
Hosting & Deployment:
Familiarity with hosting platforms (WP Engine, Vercel, AWS), DNS management (Cloudflare), and SSL setup.
?
SEO & Analytics:
Basic knowledge of technical SEO (site speed, schema markup) and experience setting up Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
?
Design Tools:
Proficiency in Figma for reviewing designs, extracting assets, and aligning with UX/UI requirements.
?
Project Management Tools:
Strong experience using Jira, Linear, or Asana, along with documentation tools like Google Workspace.
