Job Description

If you’re a digital professional who thrives on owning performance, improving user experience, and keeping business-critical platforms running at their best, this could be your next move.

This is a opportunity to take full ownership of Boots Hearingcare’s website, app, and e-commerce performance. You’ll be responsible for ensuring everything runs seamlessly- from uptime and security to booking journeys and customer experience, while driving continuous improvement across our digital estate.

This isn’t just website management- it’s ownership.

No reactive firefighting. No lack of control. Just the autonomy, visibility, and backing to optimise and evolve a business-critical digital platform.

The digital environment

You’ll operate within a growing digital function, working across marketing, data, development, and external partners to deliver a high-performing digital experience.

The role offers:

  • End-to-end ownership of website, app, and e-commerce performance
  • Responsibility for platform stability, uptime, and security
  • Direct impact on customer journeys and online bookings
  • Collaboration with global teams, agencies, and internal stakeholders
  • The opportunity to shape how digital supports business growth

This role is about owning the platform, not just maintaining it.

The role

As a Website Manager, you’ll:

  • Own the operational performance, stability, and security of the website and app
  • Manage website updates, CMS improvements, and content deployments
  • Ensure online booking functionality is optimised and running smoothly
  • Monitor and improve website performance, uptime, and user experience
  • Lead issue identification, troubleshooting, and bug resolution
  • Maintain compliance with GDPR, cookies, accessibility, and security standards
  • Manage analytics and tracking (GA4, Tag Manager) to ensure accurate data
  • Drive continuous improvement across website, app, and e-commerce performance
  • Work with agencies, developers, and internal teams to deliver enhancements

You’ll ensure the digital experience is not only stable-but constantly improving.

What’s in it for you

  • Competitive salary (DOE)
  • Annual performance related bonus
  • Hybrid working from our Nottingham HO
  • 25–30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Boots Discount Card
  • Pension scheme & life assurance
  • Flexible Benefits Box
  • Telus wellbeing support – confidential support inside and outside work
  • Long service awards recognising your contribution

What we’re looking for

  • 4–6 years’ experience managing websites or digital platforms
  • Experience owning website performance, uptime, and user experience
  • Strong understanding of CMS platforms, hosting, and web technologies
  • Experience with analytics tools (GA4, Tag Manager)
  • Knowledge of GDPR, security, and compliance requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with agencies, developers, and cross-functional teams

Desirable

  • Experience within retail, e-commerce, or healthcare environments
  • Experience managing app platforms or digital ecosystems
  • Experience driving UX or conversion improvements
