About the Opportunity
Join us as an Accounting Lead and play a pivotal role in shaping our global financial infrastructure. In this role, you will lead and mentor a high-performing accounting team while driving continuous process optimization and automation across our entities and subsidiaries. Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and empower a team of accountants to ensure daily financial operations, month-end closes, and reporting are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Financial Oversight & Month-End Mastery: Oversee general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), fixed assets, and consolidation for group entities and global subsidiaries.
- Process Optimization & System Innovation: Drive accounting process improvements, establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), and lead system automation initiatives to enhance team efficiency and reporting accuracy; research and periodically adjust existing accounting treatments to reflect evolving standards and business needs. .
- Tax, Audit & Compliance Guardian: Oversee internal/external audit engagements, transfer pricing, and global tax compliance matters across multiple entities to ensure full alignment with regulatory standards.
- Strategic Financial Partnership: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and management to provide visibility into financial performance, support financial analysis, and guide business decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with a proven track record in a people management or team leadership role.
- A combination of Big 4 audit firm experience and in-house commercial accounting experience is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and multi-entity group consolidation.
- Strong hands-on experience in driving accounting process redesign and finance system implementation/automation.
- Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a proactive approach to navigating fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Fluency in Mandarin and strong professional written and spoken English.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with ERP software such as Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite
- Experience in Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, Fintech, Tech, or Software industries is a strong plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional qualification.
