The Product Owner, Website UX & Performance owns the intake, business requirements, prioritization, and delivery of all Marketing and Operations driven web enhancements across SROA Capital, Storage Rentals of America, and UK Kangaroo websites. This role serves as the central coordination across marketing, operational & UK stakeholders, and IT/technology teams to ensure clarity, alignment, and implementation of web initiatives.

Operating within the Marketing organization and reporting to the Director, Web & SEO, this role is accountable for tracking & managing website enhancement initiatives, enforcing intake processes & standards, defining clear business requirements, managing priorities, tracking development & UAT (user acceptance testing) progress, and coordinating delivery to support marketing & operational needs, user experience (UX) improvements, and SEO and sales conversion rate (CVR) performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Web Intake, Prioritization, and Delivery Ownership

  • Serve as the single point of intake for all Marketing and Operations related web enhancement requests using Monday.com, with IT delivery & implementation tracked through Jira.
  • Design, enforce, and continuously improve request intake processes, ensuring requests include clear objectives, scope, UX/UI & feature/functional requirements, dependencies, and success criteria.
  • Translate the business needs from the Marketing and Operations areas into well-defined, prioritized, and executable work items in collaboration with Operations and IT/Technology PMO (Project Management Office) and Development teams. Clearly communicate business goals and requirements and manage requests through IT’s technical requirements review process (eg, Pre-grooming and Grooming sessions), which will help produce accurate development and delivery estimates.
  • Maintain and groom prioritized web enhancements aligned to Marketing roadmaps, Operational needs, stakeholder feedback, and business priorities.
  • Facilitate trade-off discussions when urgent or conflicting requests arise, making prioritization decisions transparent and aligned with business impact.
  • Own delivery timelines and sequencing of work, proactively communicating risks, dependencies, and changes.

Website Execution and Optimization

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of website updates and enhancements, ensuring content, design, and functionality meet performance, usability, and quality standards.
  • Partner with IT PMO, developers, designers, and third-party vendors to implement new features, resolve technical issues, improve site performance, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure mobile-first, SEO-friendly functionality, including page speed, navigation, and accessibility best practices.
  • Support marketing campaigns, product launches, and content initiatives by coordinating timely and accurate web execution.

Cross-Functional and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the accountable owner of communication between Marketing teams, Operational business stakeholders, and IT PMO, Development & Delivery areas.
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Operations to scope and plan web-related work.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospectives with development teams.
  • Reduce rework and delivery friction by ensuring requirements are clear, expectations are aligned, and feedback loops are efficient.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and developers, ensuring quality delivery and adherence to timelines.

Digital Enhancements, Experimentation, and Tracking

  • Coordinate implementation of landing pages, lead capture forms, and other digital assets supporting marketing and investor engagement.
  • Own intake and coordination for website experimentation efforts, including A/B tests and personalization initiatives, ensuring proper documentation and QA.
  • Partner with analytics and marketing teams to validate tracking, tagging, and data integrity prior to launches.
  • Identify UI and UX improvement opportunities based on feedback and performance data and collaborate with designers to enhance usability and engagement.

Education, Enablement, and Continuous Improvement

  • Educate and guide marketing stakeholders on how to submit effective web requests and plan work within established processes.
  • Improve visibility, predictability, and transparency of web delivery for marketing teams through clear communication and documentation.
  • Contribute ideas for platform improvements and operational efficiencies within existing technical constraints.
  • Support and mentor junior web or coordination roles, as applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field equivalent practical experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in website management, business requirements, product operations, digital delivery, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading cross-functional teams and initiatives across Marketing, Operations, and IT development teams.
  • Maturity and resiliency in managing and navigating competing priorities, goals, and conflicts across functional areas and team member interpersonal styles.
  • Strong project management, organizational & problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize competing requests and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with cross-functional project team leadership and project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, or Asana.
  • Experience translating Marketing and Operational business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills to effectively share initiative status, issues and business results for different audiences and purposes.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic front-end concepts (HTML, CSS, schema markup a plus, not required).
  • Experience supporting Marketing campaigns, landing pages, and digital performance initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and UX principles.
  • Familiarity with GA4, analytics platforms, or reporting tools such as Looker or PowerBI is a plus.
