The Web Specialist supports online content and accessibility for the University of Nevada, RenoSchool of Medicine (UNR Med). The Web Specialistis responsible fordesigning, updating,andmaintainingweb pages to ensure a visually engaging, accessible, and user-friendly experience.This position works closely with the Web Strategist to collaborate with stakeholders and providecontent that meets organizational goals, usability standards, and evolving web trends. The positionreportsto the Lead,Marketingand Communications.

The ideal candidatewilldemonstrateknowledge of best practices for web content, search engine optimization and structure, andproficiencyreading and writing in the English.Competencies and skills of the ideal candidate includestrong organizational skills and reliable follow-through, detail orientation, navigation of complex systems, sound judgment and problem solving, andexperienceensuring web accessibility compliance.The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively,both with the Marketing and Communications team as well as external stakeholders with varying levels ofexpertisein web content, will be key to success in the role.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree andtwo years of related work experience OR

Master’s Degree and one year of related work experience

Related Experience:support for online web strategy, experience in search engine optimization, content management systems, basic HTML, content planning and editorial calendars, webaccessibilityand web content.
