We at Nova, a leading telecommunications provider at Greece, are seeking a Web Reporter to strengthen the Novasports.gr editorial team. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports, possesses strong journalistic perception, and is familiar with the digital news environment, contributing to the timely, high-quality, and reliable coverage of sports news and current affairs.
What you will do:
- Write, edit, and publish sports news stories, articles, interviews, and feature content on Novasports.gr.
- Monitor and cover daily Greek and international sports news and developments.
- Participate in the coverage of live sporting events through live blogging, match commentary, statistical updates, and continuous news reporting.
- Create and adapt content for Novasports’ digital and social media channels.
- Select, edit, and manage photographic and audiovisual material.
- Gather information, statistics, and archival material for special reports and feature stories.
- Collaborate with editorial and digital teams to identify newsworthy topics and develop engaging content.
- Optimize content in accordance with digital journalism and SEO best practices.
It would be great if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a sports, news, or digital media organization will be considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of the Greek and international sports landscape.
- Excellent command of the Greek language, including spelling, grammar, and journalistic writing.
- Very good command of the English language.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and digital content management tools.
- Good knowledge of social media platforms and basic SEO principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage breaking news coverage.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evening matches and weekends.
- Strong team spirit, sense of responsibility, and professionalism.
