About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Web Game Developer for an established digital entertainment company that builds high-quality interactive browser experiences enjoyed by millions of users worldwide.

In this role you will design, build, and optimize browser-based games with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and clean architecture. This role requires deep expertise in HTML5 and vanilla JavaScript, particularly DOM manipulation and optimization

You will collaborate closely with designers, artists, and project managers to rapidly iterate on playable builds while maintaining high engineering standards and long-term code sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain browser-based games using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, with a strong focus on DOM manipulation.
• Optimize DOM performance to ensure smooth gameplay across modern browsers.
• Implement new features and resolve bugs while preserving code quality, style, and architecture.
• Architect and write scalable, modular systems designed for long-term maintainability.
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility across devices, screen resolutions, and orientations.
• Integrate third-party plugins and APIs.
• Collaborate with project managers to estimate timelines and define development milestones.
• Work closely with designers and artists to implement and refine UI/UX.
• Contribute to rapid development cycles, delivering quick yet polished playable builds.
• Stay current with evolving web standards and actively apply best practices to the codebase.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in game development or web application development.
  
• At least 2 shipped web games
  
• Strong expertise in HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web technologies.
  
• Deep understanding of programming fundamentals, game architecture, and performance optimization.
  
• Strong experience optimizing browser-based rendering and DOM performance.
  
• Experience working remotely with cross-cultural, cross-functional teams (preferably in Agile environments).
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Able to communicate fluently in English with native speakers with minimal mistakes and a clear pronunciation.
