About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and highly detail-oriented Web Developer / Graphic Designer to work closely with our Australian management and marketing team.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the company website and digital/creative requirements. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate confidently with Australian management while ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Website Development & Management
- Manage, maintain, and continuously improve the company website using WordPress and Elementor
- Develop and optimise website pages with a strong focus on usability, performance, SEO, and conversions.
- Manage WordPress plugins, integrations, updates, security, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain website functionality using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP
- Ensure websites are mobile-friendly, responsive, secure, and optimised for speed and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues independently.
- Implement and maintain analytics, conversion tracking, and digital marketing integrations.
Tourism, Booking & Conversion
- Develop and optimise high-converting tourism, tour, and activity pages.
- Manage and optimise Rezdy integrations, including product pages, booking buttons, availability, and customer booking flows.
- Improve the customer journey from online discovery through to direct booking.
- Support promotional, seasonal, and special offers across the website.
- Integrate and maintain Google and TripAdvisor reviews and other relevant tourism features.
- Monitor analytics and conversion data to identify opportunities to increase direct bookings.
- Apply an understanding of how photography, video, content, and page design influence tourism purchasing decisions.
SEO & Digital Marketing
- Implement technical and on-page SEO best practices.
- Manage metadata, schema, redirects, internal linking, and page optimisation.
- Monitor website performance using Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console
- Implement and maintain conversion tracking and Meta Pixel
- Identify and recommend improvements to website visibility, engagement, and conversion performance.
Graphic Design & Creative
- Create website graphics, promotional materials, digital advertisements, and social media assets.
- Design brochures, flyers, signage, and other marketing collateral.
- Perform basic photo editing, resizing, compression, and optimisation.
- Prepare artwork according to appropriate print and digital specifications.
- Maintain consistency with company branding across all creative materials.
- Assist with basic video editing where required.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent professional design software
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage multiple website, development, and creative projects simultaneously.
- Follow briefs accurately and deliver work within agreed timelines.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding tasks, feedback, information, and approvals.
- Conduct thorough quality checks before submitting work for approval, including spelling, URLs, pricing, images, formatting, functionality, and other critical details.
- Communicate promptly with Australian management when clarification, feedback, or approval is required.
- Take ownership of projects from brief through to completion.
- Suggest improvements and identify opportunities rather than simply waiting for instructions.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in web development and digital design.
- Demonstrated experience working with tourism, travel, adventure, attractions, or experience-based websites
- Strong hands-on experience with WordPress and Elementor
- Experience with Rezdy or similar tourism booking platforms, preferably including booking integrations and customer booking flows.
- Strong understanding of SEO, including technical SEO, on-page SEO, metadata, schema, redirects, and page optimisation.
- Experience managing WordPress plugins, integrations, updates, security, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP
- Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and conversion tracking
- Understanding of Meta Pixel and digital marketing tracking.
- Strong website speed and performance optimisation skills.
- Experience with mobile-first development and testing.
- Strong graphic design skills with experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent tools

- Experience with Rezdy or other tourism booking systems.
- Experience optimising websites specifically for direct tourism bookings.
- Experience with Google and TripAdvisor review integrations.
- Basic video editing skills.
- Experience with additional digital marketing, analytics, or conversion optimisation tools.
- Previous experience supporting an Australian or international business.
