We are seeking a Web Designer to join the Foundation in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. The Foundation for California Community Colleges is on a mission to double its impact in the next 10 years. We are a group of relentless optimists and innovators in education, working collaboratively with public and private partners to help improve the student experience and expand pathways to economic and social mobility in communities across California.
What You’ll Do
The Web Designer is a UX/UI-forward web role on the Creative Team within the Communications and Marketing Services Unit, working alongside designers and Communications and Marketing Services specialists to bridge design and development and carry approved work from Figma into the live experience. The role leads responsive page design, interaction and motion specifications, and build-ready documentation, partnering with Tech Solutions during implementation to ensure high-fidelity execution.
This is not a developer role. It is a design role for someone who understands how modern websites and digital experiences are built and can serve as an informed partner and creative lead throughout development. The Web Designer translates that build knowledge into design decisions, cleaner handoffs, faster iteration, and stronger outcomes across complex, stakeholder-driven projects supporting FoundationCCC’s 70+ programs and partners. The Web Designer also brings interaction and motion expertise to strengthen clarity, movement, and modern user actions across our web experiences, while contributing design capacity to broader digital and campaign work as needed.
This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing and Creative Services, working closely with cross-functional teams to strategically align copy, design, and implementation.
