Requirements

We are looking for an
experienced Web Application Developer
to join our team for a
critical engagement in the financial services domain
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing and modernizing an existing
core-PHP-based web application
, ensuring scalability, reliability, and adherence to modern development best practices.

This is a highly collaborative role that involves working closely with stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant web solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Design, develop, and
  add new features and functionality
  to the existing web application built on
  core-PHP
  .

• 
  Optimize performance, responsiveness, and reliability
  of the web application to ensure an excellent user experience.

• 
  Refactor and migrate
  legacy core-PHP code to a
  modern framework (Laravel preferred)
  to improve maintainability and scalability.

• 
  Develop and
  integrate RESTful APIs
  for communication between the application and external systems.

• 
  Write, optimize, and maintain
  AzureSQL queries
  to support application requirements.

• 
  Collaborate with
  stakeholders, business analysts, and cross-functional teams
  to ensure successful solution delivery.

• 
  Ensure
  code quality, security, and compliance
  with software development standards and guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 
  Strong
  hands-on experience in core-PHP
  web application development.

• 
  Solid understanding of
  REST API integration
  for data exchange with external applications.

• 
  Working knowledge of
  Python
  for basic scripting or integration tasks.

• 
  Ability to
  write and optimize AzureSQL queries
  for backend operations.

• 
  Proficiency in
  front-end technologies
  including
  HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  , and
  Bootstrap
  (or similar lightweight frameworks).

• 
  Good understanding of
  software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  and version control practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Proven experience
  migrating legacy core-PHP applications
  to modern frameworks such as
  Laravel
  .

• 
  Strong grasp of
  application architecture, design patterns, and best coding practices
  .

• 
  Hands-on experience with
  GitLab for source control management (SCM)
  .

• 
  Familiarity with
  CI/CD pipelines
  and
  automated deployment
  using
  GitLab CI/CD
  .

• 
  Exposure to
  financial services or banking applications
  is a plus.
