We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Web and Digital Design Content Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in curating visual content, ensuring brand consistency, enhancing user experience (UX) for our web presence, managing digital displays, and performing Drupal content management. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our web team, our creative team, and our content team and be responsible for updating our events database, ensuring our digital communications are engaging, effective, and on-brand.
Under general supervision of the Director of Brand and Marketing and in close collaboration with the Lead Digital Communications Specialist, the incumbent independently performs most day-to-day assignments related to web content, digital design, and website governance. The incumbent applies professional judgment in creating and maintaining digital content, ensuring compliance with accessibility and brand standards, analyzing website effectiveness, and recommending improvements based on analytics, SEO, UX, and digital marketing best practices.
To be effective in this role, you must be proficient in graphic design, as well as the crafter of excellent end user content. The Web and Digital Design Content Specialist must have a strong eye for effective website design and a strong ear for well-written, SEO-driven content. The Web and Digital Design Content Specialist has a strong desire to continuously improve on what they’ve crafted. The Web and Digital Design Content Specialist is always looking for new opportunities and ways to repurpose, reuse, and recycle content. They also spend time looking at the traffic on a website, with a goal of improving end user experience. They must also learn to think like a marketing communications professional, which will help them create an impactful website that drives traffic to key targeted pages.
The incumbent independently plans, designs, and produces digital communication assets from concept through final delivery. Collaborates with Creative Services, Marketing, and campus stakeholders to determine project requirements, develop appropriate design solutions, coordinate revisions, and prepare final assets for publication. Experience and Education:
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience in editing, proofreading, copy-editing, writing publications, and implementing online marketing strategies is preferred.
This position requires the successful completion of a background check.
