NPG of Yuma-El Centro in Yuma, Arizona has an immediate opening for a full-time Meteorologist/Weather Anchor. We're looking for an articulate meteorologist or weather anchor that can produce and present multiple weather segments during our weekday newscasts, using weather data and Baron computer graphics.
Candidate must be able to present weather information in a clear, engaging and meaningful manner to our viewers. You must also have a passion for covering weather. The candidate will also need to be familiar with responding to breaking weather news, and be familiar with weather in our viewing area.
The candidate we choose must be able to shoot, write scripts, lead-ins and other material related to weather. Candidate must also have a strong social media presence, and work on growing their presence during their time with the station. Candidate will be expected to post content multiple times a day not only on our website, but also on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, as well as their own station accounts.
A background in covering weather using Baron is strongly preferred. Spanish proficiency is a big plus in our market. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and pass a drug test and background check.
