Job Description

• Provides subject matter expertise in the design, development, analysis, and integration of transportable canisterized missile platforms, cold gas ejection mechanics, and Launcher Control Systems (LCS).
• Evaluates and advises on the development, modeling, and implementation of complex hardware, software, and firmware architectures associated with high-pressure gas generators, ejection timing, safety interlocks, and digital firing circuits.
• Leads technical risk management activities, identifying potential engineering and integration risks (e.g., structural integrity, environmental sealing, HWIL testing anomalies) and developing actionable mitigation strategies for weapon launch subsystems.
• Applies systems engineering best practices with the appropriate level of rigor to drive progress.
• Participates in project reviews, assesses contract deliverables, and coordinates with technical review boards on decisions with broad program impact.
• Reviews Vendor Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to assess executability and risk posture.
• Works with the Program Management team and chief engineer to understand priorities and drive project execution in alignment with those priorities.
• Develop presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain complex launch mechanisms and control designs to program management and all stakeholders.

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
• 10+ years supporting DoW operations and/or programs
• Able to work full-time in a Chantilly, VA office within SCIF/SAPF spaces
