Wealth & Retail Banking Internship Programme 2027   

We serve more than 13 million individuals and small businesses, with a focus on the affluent segment which encompasses Private Banking, Priority Private, Priority Banking, and Premium Banking. Within the mass retail sector, our strategic focus is on emerging affluent clients who will progress in their wealth journey with us, forming the future pipeline of affluent clients.

Our comprehensive product offerings span across deposits, payments, financing, advisory, investments and bancassurance.  

About the Internship Programme – how you’ll learn and grow  

Join a skills-first organisation where your potential matters more than your background.  Over 10 weeks, you’ll work on real business challenges, build future-ready skills, and gain insight into how we support clients, facilitate trade and finance growth across our markets. Working alongside colleagues across our global network, you’ll develop the skills, confidence and connections to accelerate your career. For many interns, this is the first step towards a graduate role with us.  

The programme will support your development through:  

• A 10-week summer internship    
• A structured induction and orientation    
• Exposure to our products, clients and international network  
• Real projects and meaningful responsibilities from day one  
• Technical, professional and behavioural skills development  
• Support from managers, mentors and buddies  
• Opportunities to learn from senior leaders and industry experts

Where you could work   

You’ll be placed into one of the following teams:   

• Affluent Banking: Accelerating wealth growth for our affluent clients – Personal, Premium, Priority, Priority Private and Private Banking.   
• Wealth Solutions: Committed to building, managing and protecting client’s wealth.   
• Digital Banking:  Using data and NextGen technology to deliver personalised banking solutions.     
• Bancassurance Performance and Analytics: Supports the business through the application of data, AI, and analytics to enhance performance.

Eligibility    

To be eligible for this internship, you should be a penultimate year student, able to intern in June 2027, and start full time in July 2028. You should have the permanent legal right to work in the country you’re applying to.
