This role will provide broad exposure to functions and business lines within Wealth Management. The primary focus will be on mitigating risk and improving the control environment in Wealth Management. Specific duties will include:

  • Assist in coordinating Non-Financial Risk Assessment (NFRA) activities across Wealth Management Business Units
  • Work closely with Business Risk group partners to ensure that operational risks are reported in a timely, accurate and thoughtful manner to appropriately inform residual risk profiles
  • Work closely with Operational Risk partners and Business Risk group partners to ensure the data quality of risks and controls are updated timely, in line with firm guidelines
  • Assist with metrics and analysis for senior management, which allows the ability to identify and track thematic operational risks
  • Perform analysis of NFRA and related Operational Risk data for quality assurance, and challenge the business on their risk profile
  • Partner closely with our control testing team, ensuring the outcome of testing feeds appropriately into the risk profile
  • Support ad-hoc projects to ensure appropriate solutions and/or analysis is delivered on-time and to a high level of quality

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of risk management experience within financial services, preferably within the Operational Risk Management discipline
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to build and maintain a network of contacts and coordinate with a large number of stakeholders
  • Solid interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills (critical thinking ability)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree

Salary range for the position: $80,000 and $115,000 per year. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
