The EMEA Statistical Regulatory Reporting Operations Manager leads the execution statistical regulatory reporting processes from data sourcing through final submission in EMEA region. This role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and control standards through effective governance and monitoring. The Manager designs and manages a control framework, including post-submission validation procedures and timely escalation of identified issues. They are responsible for overseeing issue remediation, ensuring sustainable solutions that mitigate risk and prevent recurrence. This position acts as a key liaison to Compliance, Risk, Technology, and business partners to align on expectations and process improvements. The Manager plays a leadership role in governance forums, presenting reporting metrics, control assessments, and remediation updates. They also drive standardization and automation across global reporting operations to improve data integrity and operational efficiency. The Manager ensures regulatory readiness by maintaining robust documentation and participating in audits and regulatory exams. They mentor and guide AVPs and Officers, supporting talent development and succession planning. As a strategic leader, the Manager contributes to enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance the reporting ecosystem and strengthen the control environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and lead execution of non-financial regulatory reports covering different jurisdictions and products
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reports
• Manage control framework and validation processes
• Manage the non-financial regulatory reporting issues and their remediation efforts
• Communicate operational changes arising from remediation or process or control enhancements to Operations & Technology
• Develop Business Requirements for system-related enhancements and end to end management of implementation of new or amended regulations
• Reconcile positions and ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting
• Execute the road map to improve regulatory reporting operations efficiency, controls, and resilience
• Streamline process inconsistencies, mitigate risks, and process documentation. Share knowledge among team to manage regulatory reporting operations functions.
• Anticipate details of future regulations by communicating directly with key stakeholders and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news
• Ensure alignment with regulatory changes and expectations
• Drive projects and process improvements
• Support leadership in strategic planning and initiatives
• Support all control functions including MCA, audits, procedures updates and implementation
• Maintain documentation and oversee governance routines
• Monitor and report performance metrics and KPIs
• Timely escalate issues and monitor till resolution
• Closely cooperate with Business and Tech partners on gap identification and process improvements
• Prepare and participate in governance forums
• Support leadership in strategic planning and initiatives
• Support internal & external audit reviews in relation to regulatory reporting operations & controls processes
• Lead team, support the goals and evaluation processes
• Recruit talents in line with the hiring policies of Citi
• Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices

Qualifications:

• Minimum 9 years of experience in Operations, preferably in regulatory reporting space
• Minimum 4 years of experience in leading team
• Solid experience in transactional regulatory reporting
• Proven experience working with demanding business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
• Deep understanding of regulations and operational processes
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate, and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment.
• Proven experience leading a team
• Good understanding of Investments and Capital Market products as well as trade execution and settlement processes
• Analytical thinking skills
• Effective workload management
• Effective, adjusted to recipient communication skills
• Critical thinking and drawing logic conclusions
• Adequate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and senior leadership
• Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
