Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of banking and finance? SEB’s Wealth & Asset Management division (WAM) offers talented students an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow their potential over a few weeks in the spring. Kick-start your career in Wealth & Asset Management through a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from industry experts and build your professional network within one of the Nordics' leading financial institutions. If you have the ambition, we will support you every step of the way!
The programme kicks off end of March and will last for 10 weeks (full-time). As an intern, you are recruited to a specific job role where you will be involved in daily business activities and have a great opportunity to explore the environment of banking. You will be guided by at least one tutor during your internship. You will get to know SEB, meet professionals across the WAM division, get to know other interns and start building your network. For more details visit our webpage here.
The Wealth & Asset Management division (WAM) serves a wide range of client segments, including high-net-worth individuals, business families, private equity firms, institutional investors and corporate clients.
WAM has approximately 2000 employees across 15 markets: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Luxembourg, the UK, Ireland, Singapore, Poland and Switzerland.
As a Growth and Market Intelligence Intern, you will join SEB Private Wealth Management West and contribute to the strategic project Win the West - Growth Opportunity Mapping. Your assignment will be to identify and analyse future growth opportunities across West Sweden and within SEB's international client base.
You will conduct a strategic mapping of key wealth segments in West Sweden, including entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, foundations, forest owners, real estate investors, high-net-worth individuals and influential industry clusters. In parallel, you will support SEB's International Desk by exploring potential cross-border wealth management opportunities within the bank's existing client base, including Sweden-related opportunities connected to Luxembourg.
Through the project, you will provide actionable insights supporting SEB's growth and client acquisition strategy in West Sweden as well as the division's international ambitions.
Who Are You?
You are a curious, analytical and commercially minded student with a genuine interest in business, entrepreneurship and wealth management. You enjoy exploring complex questions, identifying patterns and transforming large amounts of information into clear and relevant business insights.
You are structured and comfortable taking ownership of an assignment from initial research to final recommendations. You enjoy working independently while also collaborating with colleagues across different teams and areas of expertise.
To succeed in the role, you should be interested in understanding how companies, entrepreneurs, business families and investment networks create and manage wealth. An interest in West Sweden's business community, international business, cross-border wealth management or business development is considered an advantage.
