Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Completing credit approval of customer orders, ensuring accounts are within credit limits and terms granted, while providing notice to the Credit Manager of high-risk accounts and orders on credit hold.
• Communicate with customers and/or sales representatives regarding problems with customer accounts, including past due accounts, unauthorized deductions, product disputes/claims, and customer complaints.
• Monitor customer accounts and, initiate appropriate collection procedures where warranted.
• Research credit worthiness of new and/or existing customers and recommend credit limits.
• Generate, audit invoices/credit notes against sales registers, send invoices/credit notes.
• Post cash receipts on a daily basis and balance registers and daily bank deposits.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable file for new and/or existing customers.
• Generate various mid month and month-end reports such as the A/R Statements and Aged Trial Balance Reports.
• Prepare and post month end journal entries and prepare cheque requisitions, along with monthly statements, back up and distribute to the appropriate parties.
• Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Interact with all levels of the operation in support of Winpak’s ongoing registration to ISO 9001-2015, SQF Code, IMS certification, Total Quality Improvement programs and internal standards for operations and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• 2 years related credit experience with a strong emphasis on collection of overdue accounts.

Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
• Bilingual in Spanish and French would be an asset.
• Good interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills.
