  • Senior Clinical Psychologist (Grade 3) in Menopausal Connecting Care Clinic (MCCC)
  • Fixed term position (12 months) starting in early July
  • 0.2 EFT, one day a week (Thursdays) based at Sandringham Hospital

The Department

Alfred Care Group's Psychology Department mission is to provide excellent, innovative, evidence based, inclusive and collaborative psychological services to improve the health, wellbeing and development of consumers, carers, our staff and broader systems.

The Role

This is a new role in a new clinic that is designed to meet the needs of women aged 45-70 experiencing menopause related symptoms, menstrual disorders and associated conditions impacting wellbeing and psychological health.
The Senior Psychologist will work to build a model of care for Clinical Psychology in the clinic and be responsible for delivery of evidenced based assessment and treatment planning.

About You

  • You’re an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a passion for the role of psychology in supporting best practice for consumers and their supporters in public mental health.
  • You have an interest and experience of working with women experiencing distress associated with menopause and related conditions.
  • You are experienced in setting up systems and evaluation to ensure best practice supports are offered to consumers of the service
  • You are experienced in working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • You’re reflective, committed to ongoing learning, and passionate about embedding research in day to day practice.
  • You have strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
