Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Signal Electrician who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.

The position is a FIFO position 2/2 and 8/6 Rosters in WA Northwest Pilbara region, with some Perth based work in our factory.

Long term role – immediate start

Key responsibilities:

As electrician you will be working to execute wayside and onboard electrical installations. You will work closely with the Signalling Electrical Supervisor to ensure all electrical work is undertaken to a high standard.

  • Responsible for undertaking the physical construction activities.

  • Responsible for executing construction activities by interpreting signalling documentation and drawings and functional construction documentation.

  • Support the Electrical, Mechanical team and subcontractors to deliver to the project plan.

  • Undertake all Electrical works, in accordance with the project delivery plan.

  • Comply with all Heath Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and initiatives.

Education and Experience:

  • Trade qualification in signalling and/or electrical.

  • 2+ years in Railway signalling.

  • Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.

  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills.

  • Demonstrated experience working within a similar role.

  • Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
