Waterproofer

Edmonton, AB | $30–$40 per hour

We’re looking for a Commercial Waterproofer to join our client's team in Edmonton. This role suits someone with hands-on waterproofing experience who takes pride in proper surface preparation, clean application, and watertight detailing.

Responsibilities

• Install waterproofing systems on commercial foundations, below-grade walls, parkades, and other concrete structures.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, priming, and repairing minor defects before application.
• Apply sheet membranes, fluid-applied membranes, and protective coatings according to project specifications.
• Complete waterproofing details around joints, corners, transitions, and penetrations.
• Install protection boards and drainage components as required.
• Identify and report substrate issues, membrane damage, and installation deficiencies.
• Handle materials and equipment safely and maintain a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial waterproofing experience.
• Experience with sheet-applied or fluid-applied waterproofing systems.
• Strong attention to surface preparation, membrane continuity, and detailing.
• Ability to follow product instructions and project specifications.
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physically demanding work.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work well with a crew.
• Relevant safety training and certifications are an asset.

Compensation

$30–$40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
