We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Driver / Water Truck Operator to support a large two-year pipe backfill project in the Thornton area. This position offers steady, long-term work with opportunities to expand your skills and train on additional equipment, including ready-mix trucks.
Operate a water truck to support pipe backfill operations while assisting construction crews with daily site activities. This role requires both driving and hands-on field support outside of the truck.
Operate water truck safely and efficiently on construction sites
Pull hoses to fill truck and distribute water for backfill and dust control
Inspect, maintain, and operate designated heavy equipment daily
Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Assist pipe crew and other construction team members as needed
Perform minor labor tasks outside of driving duties
Maintain strong attention and commitment to jobsite safety
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
Valid CDL Class B required
Air Brakes endorsement required
Tanker endorsement preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 20 pounds
Experience operating light equipment (skid steer, loader, backhoe, etc.) is a plus
Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
$24– $30 per hour (DOE)
Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and lifting
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to safely access and exit heavy equipment repeatedly
