We’re looking for an experienced Water Technician to join our team based in Hastings. You’ll be supporting the delivery, maintenance, and operation of water infrastructure, helping us provide safe, reliable water services to the community.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
Day to day, you’ll be carrying out repairs and maintenance on existing water mains, service lines, hydrants, and tobies, working alongside our established water crews across the network. You’ll help keep the water system operating safely and reliably by responding to faults, supporting planned maintenance, and ensuring assets are maintained to a high standard.

Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities
Connections on both commercial and residential properties including backflow preventers installation
Undertake pipe installations installation and maintenance using small and large plant equipment
Pressure testing and sterilising of new mains before connection to existing networks
Installation of valves, hydrants and associated water main fittings
This role will require some flexibility as there is some overtime and optional weekend work when required
