About the Role:Join Restoration 1 of Dulles as a Water Restoration Technician and become a vital part of our team dedicated to helping communities recover from water damage. As a growing business, specializing in water damage cleanup, structural drying, and property restoration, we are looking for motivated team members who want to grow with us, learn new skills, and help our customers recover from unexpected water damage. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills make a real difference.
Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to water damage calls
  • Properly assess and document water damage to develop restoration plans
  • Perform water extraction and structural drying using industry-standard equipment
  • Assess and document water damage to develop restoration plans
  • Set up and monitor drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, etc.)
  • Remove and dispose of damaged materials (drywall, flooring, etc.)
  • Apply antimicrobial treatments to affected areas to prevent mold growth
  • Document work performed with photos and moisture reading reports in a timely manner
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers to explain the restoration process
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and job sites in safe and clean working order
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient project completion
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on industry best practices
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend emergencies

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma/GED
  • IICRC certification preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in water damage restoration or related field preferred
  • Experience with Xcelerate, Encircle, and Xactimate preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics)
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals
  • Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary

Compensation: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
