We are seeking a dedicated Water Mitigation Technician to join our restoration team. This role involves responding to water damage incidents, performing mold remediation, and assisting with fire and asbestos abatement projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration industry and be committed to restoring properties efficiently and safely. Prior knowledge of cleaning, construction, and the use of hand and power tools is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on helping clients recover from property damage while developing valuable skills in the restoration industry.Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to water damage and flood emergencies, assessing the extent of damage
  • Operate various tools and equipment including hand tools, power tools, and specialized restoration machinery
  • Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes to mitigate further damage
  • Conduct mold remediation and asbestos abatement following safety protocols
  • Assist with fire restoration efforts, including soot and smoke removal
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning and general property sanitation
  • Support construction-related repairs and structural drying as needed
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for each project
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

Skills

  • Proven experience in water damage restoration, fire restoration, or mold remediation within the restoration industry
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, including carpet cleaning and general sanitation procedures
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
  • Ability to operate specialized restoration equipment safely and effectively
  • Experience with asbestos abatement procedures is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various environmental conditions
