The primary function of the temporary Watch Technician Battery role is to perform watch battery replacements accurately and efficiently. This position works closely with Customer Operations and Distribution to ensure battery change requests are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with quality standards. The role also supports watch engraving and assists with other distribution center functions as needed. In addition, this position helps maintain workflow efficiency by following established procedures and supporting service-related operational needs.

Responsibilities

Battery Services

  • Perform battery replacements using the appropriate battery types and voltages for various watch models.
  • Inspect and clean battery terminals to ensure proper watch function.
  • Set time and date functions following battery replacement.
  • Conduct functional and water-resistance testing using pressure-testing equipment, and document and report results.

Engraving Services Support

  • Support the processing of documentation for customer engraving orders.
  • Assist with engraving software and machinery to complete customer requests accurately and on time.
  • Partner with the Customer Operations team on custom engraving requests or clarifications.
  • Help ensure all engraving meets accuracy, placement, and quality standards.
  • Support basic maintenance of engraving equipment and escalate software or troubleshooting needs as appropriate.

General Duties

  • Maintain clean, organized workstations and tools.
  • Document all service activities in tracking systems accurately and promptly.
  • Support physical inventory counts and special projects.
  • Provide backup support to other areas within SAV.
  • Support other areas of distribution such as picking and packing as required by the business.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a dexterity and tool-handling skills test.
  • Prior experience in watch battery service, refurbishment, or engraving preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision.
  • English communication skills are preferred.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends as business demands.
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, sit or stand for long periods, bending, squatting, and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish positive working relationships with a diverse team
  • Ability and willingness to being cross trained and work in other areas and/or departments
  • Support other areas of distribution such as picking and packing as required by the business.

The hourly range for this position is $17.50 - $19.50.
