Arcadis is seeking a Wastewater Treatment System Operator to join our Field Technical Solutions team in East Chicago, Indiana. This position will be 100% in the field at a client site providing operations for maintenance, and monitoring (OMM) activities for a groundwater extraction & treatment system. This position requires a hard-working, safe, efficient and dedicated employee that is excited to receive on the job training, working with a team, and able to work independently once trained.
The Wastewater Treatment System Operator sits within the larger global Resilience Business Area. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we’re feeling the effects climate change, rapid urbanization, loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. The candidate demonstrates the ability to document site activities and notes while providing effective communication to the project team. They are skilled at reading and understanding OMM manuals and system drawings and can work independently while problem-solving with guidance from subject matter experts. Additionally, they are capable of working 100% in the field and are flexible in accommodating occasional overtime, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and emergency call-outs. Furthermore, they possess the physical capability to perform activities that include lifting and carrying weights of up to 50 pounds.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $26.54/hr - $39.81/hr. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
