Your role in achieving results:
Operate wastewater treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment in wastewater treatment plant to control flow and processing of wastewater.
Monitor control panels and adjust valves manually or by remote control to regulate flow of influent and chemicals.
Observe variations in operating conditions and interpret metered, gauged readings and test results to determine load requirements.
Start and stop pumps, engines, and generators to control flow of wastewater through filtering, settling, aeration, and sludge digestion processes.
Maintain log of operations and record meter and gauge readings.
Assist with and monitor the load-out of sludges.
Perform routine inspections of tanks and other associated equipment to ensure mechanical and physical integrity of the system.
Perform preventative maintenance of wastewater plant equipment and basic troubleshooting of maintenance/electrical issues.
Perform wastewater plant sampling of processes, and complete analysis of samples.
Perform monitoring of wastewater plant processes and make adjustments as needed.
Perform sampling, filtration, and preservation of monitoring wells. May conduct tests, such as pH, turbidity and chemical concentrations (bench testing).
May operate and maintain power generating equipment to provide air and electricity for plant.
Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Safety Protocol
Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
Support safety policies and programs.
