Job Description

General Purpose:

This position is responsible for operation, upkeep, and maintenance of the wastewater facility.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Daily operation of Wastewater Plant.

· Maintaining daily sampling routine.

· Performing COD, TSS, Total Solids, DO, and other analysis on daily samples.

· Performing root cause analysis of operational and mechanical issues.

· Interpreting daily results for operational trends.

· Making informed adjustments based on Daily data collection.

· Monitoring microbial condition of sludge and various stages of process.

· Performing required PM’s.

· Performing routine maintenance tasks.

· Organizing other maintenance tasks with Maintenance supervisor.

· Monitoring effluent samples for excessive losses.

· Testing effluent samples to provide plant management with loss results.

· Providing feedback to plant management in report form on daily effluent characteristics.

· Organizing and overseeing spill clean-ups.

· Monitoring and reporting spills to proper personnel.

· Effectively communicate issues and ideas to Waste Water Operator.

· Provide support for carry over on task completion.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • General Microbiological skills.
  • General Chemistry skills.
  • General Maintenance skills.
  • General Organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills

Pay Range
