Wastewater Operator or Operator-in-Training (Night Shift)

Are you a recent Biology, Chemistry, or Environmental Science graduate looking to launch a meaningful career? Do you have maintenance, manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial experience and enjoy hands-on problem solving? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Wastewater Operator, you'll help protect the environment by operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment used to treat wastewater. This is a great opportunity to build technical skills, earn industry certifications, and grow in a stable, essential industry.

What You'll Do

  • Operate and monitor pumps, motors, valves, and treatment equipment
  • Collect samples and perform basic testing and laboratory analyses
  • Conduct inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs
  • Document plant performance and operational data
  • Respond to operational issues and emergency call-outs as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and secure facility

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred
  • Maintenance, mechanical, industrial, or utility experience welcomed
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to obtain wastewater certification
  • Valid driver's license required

Schedule & Physical Requirements

This night-shift position requires availability for weekends, holidays, and occasional emergency call-outs. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
