Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

This is a seasonal position

Contract Period: May 2026-December 2026


Your Daily Role:

• Monitor wastewater operations and make necessary adjustments as required to maintain efficiency;
• Work with the maintenance department to ensure all equipment is functioning to design, cleaning equipment;
• Perform necessary testing on sludge and cake. Analyzing the results to assess treatment performance;
• Update plant logs with operational records, changes, concerns, and review chemical inventory;
• Collect wastewater samples in accordance with sampling program, perform laboratory testing of wastewater;
• Monitor instruments to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure systems are operating within prescribed limits, bringing any deviations forward;
• Make chemical treatment as needed and as directed by supervisor.


Your Profile:


• Wastewater treatment knowledge and/or other environmental sciences;
• Knowledge of HACCP, WHIMIS, Safe Chemical Handling Procedures and Food Safety;
• Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals;
• Demonstrate punctuality, reliability and willingness to learn in a safety focused team based environment;
• Proficient organizational skills, demonstrated ability to prioritizing tasks, manage time effectively, while effectively communicating;
• Strong organizational skills, data/record keeping, reporting, and some basic mathematical and computer proficiency required;
• Basic mechanical comprehension;
• Self motivated, demonstrate levelheaded autonomy to make decisions and take action when senior departmental employees and/or manager is unavailable.

This position requires the ability to work a rotating continental (12 hour) shift
