Location: Tidworth, SP9 7AW, must be prepared to work at dispersed locations within the South region

What you'll be doing:

  • Operate and maintain Waste Water Treatment Works, Pumping Stations and Networks across the South Region
  • Operate plant and equipment to ensure effective treatment and disposal
  • The delivery and treatment of Trade, Foul, Surface Effluent via networks and pumping stations
  • Identify and report plant and equipment faults and failures
  • Maintain safe operating conditions and housekeeping
  • Undertake MCERT equipment checks and calibration as part of the consent obligations.
  • Take samples, gather operating data and report as appropriate
  • Provide normal and out of hours cover, including the potential of being contractually required to participate as an out of hours member of the standby and callout team.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience of plant operations, ideally in waste water networks or trade effluent operations would be preferred, although a similar operational background may be suitable
  • Existing NVQ or similar qualification would be very advantageous, however is not essential
  • A general environmental awareness or experience would be of value
  • Understanding of the importance of security within Nuclear, MoD and Airport contracts.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required
  • Must be able to pass a Security Clearance in line with the Ministry of Defence vetting as well as a Police CBR background screening assessment.
