Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for Waste Operatives to join a well-respected and successful client at Manchester Airport. What’s on offer:

• Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour
• Shift Pattern: 4-on/ 2-off
• 14:00pm to 22:00pm
• Weekly Pay (every Friday)
• Full Training provided.

• Temp to Perm (performance related)

Key Duties:

• Change out all bins in both landside and airside areas of Manchester Airport.
• Segregate waste materials in designated service yards according to recycling and disposal protocols.
• Ensure that all waste collection, segregation, and disposal activities comply with environmental and safety regulations.
• Manage and maintain Foreign Object Debris (FOD) bins and oil bins to ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
• Monitor and report any issues related to waste management, bin collection, and hazardous waste to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all assigned areas.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient waste management operations.
• Represent Mitie and Manchester Airport positively by providing excellent service and maintaining professional conduct at all times.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and must have been held for more than a year.
• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy bins.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an airport ID, which includes passing necessary background checks and security clearances.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring high cleaning standards are consistently met.
• Great work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be over 18.
• Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial.
