Catalent’s San Diego, CA site is an early‑phase development facility supporting small‑molecule and peptide programs from preformulation through cGMP clinical manufacturing for oral and injectable dosage forms. The 68,000‑square‑foot site is a center of excellence for spray‑drying and bioavailability‑enhancement technologies, with integrated capabilities to advance challenging compounds rapidly into the clinic.
We have an opportunity for a Washroom Operator I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing equipment cleaning with a strong focus on disassembly and accountability of equipment parts within the washroom. You will work as part of the Equipment Team, collaborating with multiple departments across the organization. This position requires excellent communication, organization, and time management skills to ensure high-quality standards and teamwork.
Shift: Monday - Friday 2 PM - 10:30 PM

The Role
Support disassembly of manufacturing equipment prior to cleaning
Prepare solutions for manufacturing equipment cleaning
Participate in manufacturing equipment cleaning
Maintain accountability of equipment parts throughout the cleaning process
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the washroom
Support re-stocking of washroom supplies
Maintain accuracy within the SIMON database with equipment activity updates
Support cleaning of the Equipment Storage Areas
Maintain a high-quality standard of work and encourage strong teamwork and morale

The Candidate
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Knowledgeable with computer programs Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Knowledgeable in use of all basic hand tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction (oral and written)
On an average 8-hour day this position requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear, smell and lift up to 40 pounds. Specific vision requirements including reading of written documents, visual inspection of materials and use of PPE/respirator frequently

Pay
The anticipated hourly rate for this position in CA is $40,000 – $46,000. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
