Job Description

Washington Rural Healthcare Finance and Revenue Cycle Leadership Opportunities

Rural Staffing Services partners with rural hospitals, clinics, public hospital districts, and community healthcare organizations throughout Washington to identify experienced finance and revenue cycle leaders who understand the unique realities of rural healthcare.

We are currently connecting with professionals who may be interested in active and upcoming finance, accounting, reimbursement, revenue cycle, billing, coding, and patient financial services leadership opportunities across Washington

These opportunities may include leadership within Critical Access Hospitals, rural and community hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers, public hospital districts, long-term care organizations, and integrated rural healthcare systems.

This Is More Than a Finance Role

Strong financial and revenue cycle operations help protect healthcare access for an entire rural community.

These leaders ensure organizations can accurately capture revenue, manage resources responsibly, support employees, maintain compliance, and remain financially strong enough to continue caring for the people who depend on them.

In a rural healthcare organization, finance and revenue cycle leaders often work across departments and may have broader responsibilities than they would in a larger system. The strongest leaders understand how registration, coding, billing, reimbursement, patient accounts, accounting, and operational decisions connect to one another.

They are collaborative, detail-oriented, approachable, and able to turn complex financial information into practical guidance for employees, department leaders, executives, and governing boards.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and team-development skills

  • Experience with Critical Access Hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, FQHCs, public hospital districts, or community healthcare organizations

  • Relevant education or professional credentials based on the position

  • A collaborative and relationship-focused leadership style

Some opportunities may prefer credentials such as CPA, CHFP, CRCR, CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or other finance, coding, revenue cycle, or health information certifications. Requirements will depend on the specific role.

Why Rural Washington?

Washington's rural healthcare organizations serve communities surrounded by mountains, forests, farmland, rivers, islands, and coastlines. These organizations frequently operate with lean teams, limited resources, and a tremendous responsibility to the communities they serve.

Finance and revenue cycle leadership in a rural organization provides the opportunity to see the direct impact of your work. Improving a process, supporting a team, or strengthening reimbursement can help preserve services, protect jobs, and keep care available close to home.
