Project Management

  • Ensure all the deliverable as per the project proposal and logical framework are achieved, e.g, train community hygiene promoters, conduct campaigns to promote awareness and conduct focused group discussions at targeted community settlements to get complaints feedback and inputs on appropriate design, and distribution of WaSH NFIs.
  • Provide leadership in the implementation of RISE project in Tambura Strategic leadership and Representation, support timely Reporting such as weekly, monthly and quarterly report submissions, strengthen leadership as guided by the project objectives, logical framework and work plan; and guided by DRA Policy and implement WVI and other international standards and Manage Health budget and expenses according to the Donors approval.
  • Ensure timely ordering, purchase of needed material through coordination with the World Vision South Sudan procurement team and timely submission of quality project progress reports, and other information as required, for the donor.
  • Support distribution of Soap, Hand washing facilities for targeted WASH project participants
  • Provide opportunities for capacity building to both WASH and Health project team in consultation with the Human Resources Department to ensure proper technical and personal development..

Budget Management

  • Support the CHD to assess needs of project, priorities and develop clear budgets, BOQs etc.
  • Develop procurement plans and trackers for the project.
  • Develop accurate quarterly budget forecasts (within 10+/-).
  • Raise requisitions on provision and follow up in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with finance to ensure timely payment of incentives and other project activities such as trainings.
  • Conduct monthly budget versus actual at the county level.

Staff Management

  • Guide the County Staff, Project staff and all relevant staff in compilation and evaluation of information that relate to the program’s objectives.
  • Ensure all project staff have signed performance agreements and are regularly appraised as part of performance management.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and training of staff using available project resources for quality implementation.

Qualifications/Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience.

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

Minimum Qualification required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human medicine, Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health or paramedical disciplines.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the South Sudan’s Health system.
  • Strong working understanding of Primary Health Care, Secondary Health Care and the Boma Health Initiative.
  • Demonstrated application of Do No Harm, including understanding of intended and unintended consequences of gender equality and social inclusion interventions, and risk mitigation approaches.
  • Excellent work experience in training facilitation and mentoring government staffs.
  • Fluency in English language and the local languages spoken is an added advantage.
  • Understands and is committed to WV’s vision, mission and core values.
