Job Description

Olympic Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a reliable and motivated Wash Bay Attendant to join our team in Sequim, WA.

The schedule is Monday–Friday from 9am-5pm.

The starting pay $20/hr with annual pay increases and bonus opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operating forklifts safely and efficiently

  • Moving trucks safely

  • Parking trucks safely and in an organized manner

  • Washing and organizing tires

  • Organizing Washbay equipment

  • Wash containers, trucks, and floors

  • Ensure Washbay is kept in clean and safe working condition

  • Ensure all containers coming into the shop are washed and left in a state that is representative of our service levels

  • Responsible for prioritizing work, based on communication with operations management staff, operators, mechanical staff, welders, and others to ensure that customer expectations for timely service are met

  • Report containers needing repair

  • Ensure the building is secure and locked at shift end

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of operation of forklifts, trucks, and washers

  • Minimum Class 3A driver’s licence with clean abstract

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly

  • Ability to work both in a team environment and unsupervised

  • Good communication skills

  • Physically fit

  • Mechanically inclined
