Warranty Project Manager – New Generation Services (NGS)

The Warranty Project Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end warranty claim process across New Generation Services (NGS) projects. This role serves as the central point of coordination for all warranty claims involving Mitsubishi Power equipment, ensuring effective investigation, commercial resolution, cost recovery, and customer satisfaction. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary commercial and management focal point for all NGS warranty claims.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and develop safety plans for warranty-related activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Operations to resolve claims.
  • Interpret contract terms to support claim resolution, cost recovery, and compliance.
  • Lead claim disposition strategies based on contractual obligations and investigative findings.
  • Manage warranty claim tracking through systems and databases, ensuring accurate reporting and status visibility.
  • Develop and maintain financial tracking for warranty reserves and cost forecasting.
  • Capture lessons learned and voice-of-customer insights to improve future projects.
  • Coordinate engineering investigations, repairs, and field execution related to warranty issues.
  • Prepare monthly warranty reports and support weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Participate in project risk and opportunity reviews.
  • Ensure transparency and timeliness in warranty cost management and claim recovery.
  • Support performance management, training, and development of team members.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Support continuous improvement of warranty processes and systems.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power plant construction, commissioning, or project management.
  • Experience working on EPC power generation projects required.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Experience interpreting contractual terms and managing claims or warranty processes.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and collaboration systems.
  • Ability to work in global and cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
