General Purpose:
The Warranty Lead oversees the warranty claim process to maximize efficiency and return on claims. This position provides consultation and training for the internal warranty team, service, and parts departments on all matters related to warranties and reports to the Aftermarket Support Manager.

Develop and manage standardized warranty claim processes.
Oversee the warranty process to ensure pre-authorization, timely submission, and follow-up is completed in a timely manner.
Research and resolve unpaid claims.
Monitor equipment records for warranty expiration.
Manage and process parts and service warranty claims.
Oversee Product Improvement Program (PIP) management.
Provide consultation and training on warranty regulations.
Communicate warranty status to departmental management.
Compile warranty recovery data.
Support Short-line Warranties and Shortage/Damage Claims.
Support machine transfer and location unknown processes.
Perform other duties as required.
Supervisory Duties:
Manage the Warranty Processor in accordance with AVE-PLP policies. Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work. Assist in appraising performance, disciplinary action, address complaints, and resolve problems.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Promote and support AVE-PLP Guiding Principles.
Knowledge of service software and Deere Warranty system.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet functions.
Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
Effective communication with customers, employees, and peers.
A clear sense of urgency and understanding of the importance this work has on the overall success of the location and Company.
Education:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent is required.
Experience:
Two or more years in Service Department operations required.
Equivalent education and experience may be substituted.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.
