Job Description

The Warranty Administrator plays a key role in supporting the success of the Earthmoving Technical After Sales department through the efficient management and administration of warranty claims, supplier recoveries, service contracts, and departmental reporting activities. Acting as a central point of coordination between internal teams, factories, suppliers, and customers, the role is responsible for ensuring accurate claim processing, maximising cost recovery opportunities, and maintaining the highest levels of customer service while working within Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd.’s core principles of Business Performance, Customer Focus, People & Teamwork, and Leadership.

Your Responsibilities

  • Confirm the validity of warranty claims received and maximise the levels of labour, materials, spare parts and sub-contract items recovered.
  • Preparing clear, concise and accurate claims, of all types, to our suppliers.
  • Question the acceptability or validity of a component or claim at any stage in the process, obtain better information from the depot and communicate effectively to the concerned factory.
  • Prepare correct documentation for returning failed parts to factories.
  • Establish and maintain good communications and effective relationships between suppliers, factories and internal departments in the UK and abroad.
  • Issuing credit note requests.
  • Prepare, distribute and monitor documentation for Extended Warranties and Contracts.
  • Monitor and report on Service Information progress.
  • Prepare reports and statistics on all aspects of the department’s activities.
  • Collect data and prepare reports on Key Account customer performance.
  • Support the After Sales team with machine performance using the Liebherr telematics system LiDAT as & when requested.
  • Support the After Sales department with Travel & hotel bookings.
  • Undertake other tasks that may be required from time to time by Liebherr – Great Britain Ltd.
  • Undertake all work in accordance with the company’s Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and arrangements, Implement safe systems of work as necessary.

Your Profile

The successful candidate will require the following:

  • Previous experience in warranty administration, service coordination, aftersales support, or a similar administrative role.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process claims, documentation, reports, and data.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience producing reports and analysing performance data.
  • Ability to investigate and challenge information, identify discrepancies, and ensure claims meet supplier requirements.
  • Ideally experienced within engineering, construction equipment, automotive, plant, agricultural machinery, or a technical aftersales environment.
