The Warranty Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the warranty system in a timely, well documented and organized manner including but not limited to part return trackers; internal and external reporting; and warranty claim and cost recoveries. They will be a "power user" on the Customer Portals for warranty. They must comply with quality system and documentation requirements. They will escalate issues as needed. All while working as part of cross functional teams often including customers.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

With a focus on continuous improvement and a reduction in warranty costs while meeting timing requirements:

  • Develop and maintain a warranty part return log including the receipt and "status" through closure of analysis in tools like Hubspot or Intellaquest;
  • Handle shipments of warranty parts from customers to Stoneridge plant and distribution internally;
  • The role involves manual handling of warranty return materials (e.g., lifting boxes and moving pallets), and candidates should be able to safely perform these physical tasks as part of daily work.
  • First level testing of warranty returns as needed – production EOL testing and documentation of the results;
  • Power User of Customer Portals to monitor due dates; input responses; and pull reports;
  • Review customer warranty cost recoveries for validity and report results to meet customer deadlines;
  • Respond to customer emails and assist other SRE plants as needed;
  • Collect, analyze, interpret and share warranty information appropriately;
  • Monitor customer related warranty data for out-of-control warranty; report and react accordingly.

EDUCATION:

Minimum vocational education, preferably Engineering related field.

EXPERIENCE:

1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role working with quality or logistics.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Good English verbal and written communication skills;
  • Estonian verbal preferred;
  • Russian verbal is a bonus;
  • IT/Computer “proficient” to navigate varied complex customer systems;
  • Warranty and quality knowledge.

SOFT COMPETENCES

  • Self-motivated and results oriented;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Excellent teamwork with the ability to work globally.

HARD COMPETENCES

  • Microsoft Excel or other expertise required for data handling, graphs, analysis, and presentations with the ability to draw conclusions from the analysis.
