Job Description

Individuals over Warp Service person are responsible for changing out the beams of the loom when it is warped out.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Clean the loom, set new warps and get loom back in production
  • Ensure that all safety practices are followed
  • Must be thorough and stay consistent to ensure minimal downtime in the department
  • Communicate technical and operational issues clearly and concisely
  • Strive for continuous improvement
  • Operate and/or drive machinery and equipment
  • Responsible for quality workmanship of changing beams, keeping the work area clean and organized, waste reduction, and getting the loom ready with new beam in a timely manner

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Capable of standing on concrete floor throughout shift
  • Walking, stooping and reaching over loom for long periods of time
  • Must be able to withstand working in a busy and hot environment
  • Must be hands-on and have a mechanical aptitude

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.
  • Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete necessary lift truck training.

Other Requirements:

  • Overtime is required on occasion.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • All accidents must be reported immediately.
  • Do daily machine safety checklist
  • Responsible for quality and safety of his/her own output.
