Job Description

Meadow Gold Dairy has an immediate job opening for a Warehouse/Cooler Nightshift Loader. The position is responsible for picking orders within the cooler department and plant as required. May be called upon to work in other functions within the department, if labor needs dictate. Applicant needs to be dependable and have good attendance habits; must be able to follow instructions and think through various job functions. Must be flexible and amiable with other employees and supervision. Will be assigned other duties by supervision.

SCHEDULE:

Sunday - 08:00 PM to 06:30 AM

Monday - 08:00 PM to 06:30 AM

Wednesday - 08:00 PM to 06:30 AM

Thursday - 08:00 PM to 06:30 AM

Position is eligible for shift differential of .30 per hour. If shift changes differential may be changed or removed.

  1. Employee shall abide by company rules and regulations, including all GMP’s and SQF practices, working with safety first.
  2. During your shift, you are to keep a neat and orderly work area.
  3. Pick and load orders in accordance with established procedures and paperwork. All orders must be picked accurately using clean, undamaged product within the acceptable code requirements.
  4. Responsible for the racking and rotating product using, “First in first out method” (FIFO). This includes product made in house and product purchased from other manufacturers for resale.
  5. Must be able to operate both manual and electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
  6. Responsible for filling out all required paperwork accurately and neatly. Sign and date paperwork as required. Write code dates, case and pallet count on all outgoing load sheets and manifests for traceability reasons.
  7. Must be able to work the line for long periods of time. Stand and walk continuously.
  8. Responsible for reporting any food safety or food quality related issues to a supervisor.
  9. Perform any other duties assigned by a supervisor.
  10. Must be able to learn the DMS system and how to retrieve orders out of it.

Qualifications

Minimum High School or GED equivalent • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Ability to understand and follow directions as given • Must be able to read load sheets and accurately set up customer and driver orders. Must be 18 years of age or older • stretching, pushing, pulling, squatting, and twisting required on a frequent basis. Must be able to work in a cold environment. Must be able to work amiably with other employees, and work in a busy environment. Must be able to recognize code dates, understand load sheets, and be flexible in doing work as instructed within scope of duties
