Job Description

The Warehouse and Yard Attendant is responsible for supporting site Operations by organizing and maintaining PPE, shop supplies, and offshore equipment, while also assisting with basic inventory tracking and control. This role supports both the physical handling of materials and the accuracy of inventory, ensuring equipment readiness, accountability, and efficient shop operations. The position also includes maintaining shop and yard cleanliness and assisting with minor vehicle upkeep.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

  • Pull, stage, and load equipment and supplies for jobs with accuracy and accountability
  • Track and communicate low stock items; assist with maintaining proper inventory levels
  • Receive, check in, and organize shipments from vendors and deliveries
  • Assist with logging incoming and outgoing materials (manual or system-based tracking)
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Check in supplies and materials returned from jobs and ensure proper storage
  • Inspect tools and equipment for defects or wear; report issues to asset specialist
  • Maintain organization of warehouse, yard, and storage areas to improve efficiency and visibility
  • Maintain trucks in yard – replacing headlights, wiper blades, fluids; fueling and washing
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of shop, yard, and work areas
  • Support continuous improvement of shop organization and inventory processes

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, tracking, or similar)
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BRING:

  • Experience in shop, warehouse, or yard operations
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking, materials handling, or logistics support
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability with equipment and materials
  • Ability to problem solve and identify inefficiencies
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of assigned areas
  • Working knowledge of basic computer systems or willingness to learn
  • Safety awareness and strong safety culture
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
