Primary Responsibilities

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for supporting all warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with H.B. Fuller's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards, quality requirements, and operational procedures. Responsibilities include safely receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and a clean, organized work environment.

Primary Duties

The Warehouse Operator must be able to:

  • Execute all work activities in accordance with H.B. Fuller Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and work instructions without exception.
  • Safely receive, store, move, and transfer raw materials and finished goods while following First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices.
  • Collect raw material samples for Quality Control testing as required.
  • Store materials according to established warehouse procedures while maintaining proper stock rotation and inventory organization.
  • Inspect incoming materials and notify the Warehouse Supervisor of any damaged or non-conforming products.
  • Safely load and unload trucks, containers, and bulk tankers while following established operating procedures.
  • Inspect trailers, containers, and tankers prior to loading or unloading to ensure equipment is in acceptable condition and products are protected from damage.
  • Accurately prepare customer orders by picking, staging, packaging, and verifying materials to ensure on-time and accurate shipments.
  • Complete all warehouse documentation accurately, ensuring required paperwork is signed, dated, and properly maintained.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse by following housekeeping standards and properly disposing of waste materials.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklifts and other warehouse equipment, reporting maintenance concerns or equipment defects promptly.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment in clean, safe operating condition.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and cross-functional teams to support daily warehouse operations.
  • Support inventory accuracy and warehouse organization activities as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to learn and utilize ERP or warehouse management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to become forklift certified.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control and warehouse best practices.
  • Experience working in an ERP or warehouse management system.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs.)
  • Ability to climb stairs and operate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and exposure to moving equipment.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent interaction with powered industrial vehicles, trucks, and shipping equipment.
  • Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with H.B. Fuller safety policies.
  • Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required based on business needs.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $19.00 per hour.
