Warehouse Worker –Pooraka, SA


About the Opportunity

We are seeking local Warehouse Workers for thePoorakabranch to provide warehouse and distribution service to both internal and external customers.  

Reporting to the WarehouseSupervisor, you willprovide assistanceinthe day-to-day operations and activities in the Warehouse. The successful candidatesmust be able to work in a team environment with routine supervision and be able to understand detailed instructions.


Responsibilities

  • Liaising with management,suppliersand customers with respect to stores’ operations.

  • Weighing or shippingor receiving or delivery officerincorporating alsodispatcher functions;

  • Receiving, receipting, pick, pack and dispatch of spare parts and materials

  • Conduct project work;

  • Assistwith inventory control;

  • Prepare shipping documentation;

  • Enter detailed data entry in Sandvik IT systems

  • Undertake discrepancy investigation and implement corrective actions

  • Conduct stock cycle counting and full stock takes;

  • Implement quality control techniques and procedures.

  • General warehouse maintenance and housekeeping

About you:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ warehouse/stores experience in a Heavy Mining or Equipment Manufacturing environment, and a current Forklift license is essential.You will be comfortable withusing SAP and RF scanners as well as picking upnew systems and processes and adaptable to learning environments.

You are computer literate in the Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with implementing and driving OH&S policies and procedures.

You will havedrive, flexibility,highlevelof energy and enthusiasm, displayexcellent communication and customer relations skills. Additionally, you are able to collaborate and work with members of the wider team.You are experienced with flexible shift work and rostersfor thisfull-timeopportunity
