Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in ensuring excellent service for our customers, operational efficiency, and workplace safety within a fiberglass manufacturing environment. This position requires technical proficiency in warehouse logistics, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. This individual is expected to be a culture ambassador, exhibit a strong sense of our safety identity, as well as driving quality and optimizing plant efficiency.

Reports to Plant Controller

Schedule: 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday - Friday

Pay: $21.00

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

  • Safely operate forklifts (Clamp Trucks) and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas to support safety and efficiency.
  • Actively participate in Plant Safety initiatives such as Hazard ID and Online Learning.

Technical Operations

  • Operate a forklift (Clamp Truck) to load, and unload, finished goods and forklifts to unload in bound materials to transport materials within the facility.
  • Inspect forklifts daily and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Computer literacy required for inventory movement.
  • Assist with general warehouse tasks such as picking and organizing inventory.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent accidents.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of Forklift experience
  • Must have previous experience with a clamp truck

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in industrial manufacturing or industrial environment
